Mr Darence Leng
Our main conductor, Mr Darence Leng, has been HCBand's (and High School Military Band's) conductor for many years. He is lively and enthusiastic during band sessions, always keeping the atmosphere light with his humorous jokes. As a patient and caring teacher concerned with the welfare of his students, his goal is to continuously push HCBand to greater standards, without compromising on the joy of band.
Mr Desmond Chow
An experienced musician performing in Clarinet and Bass clarinet, our assistant conductor Mr Desmond Chow is currently a member of The Philharmonic Winds, Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, to name a few. He actively participates in multiple performances, such as in well-known musicals and with international singers. His rich and diverse musical experience makes him a teacher many look up to.
Mr Daniel Ong
Our assistant conductor, Mr Daniel Ong is a proud member of the SAF Central Band, specialising in the clarinet. Despite being our youngest conductor, he is nothing short of experienced, and has even studied at the Royal College of Music.
