Set up in 1974, the College campus has become a second home for students to grow, learn and play. With many collaborative and open spaces like the Inner Plaza and the Astroturf, the school has been designed to accommodate the hustle and bustle of our dynamic student life.
The iconic Central Plaza holds many fond memories for many alumni and has become a gathering place for generations during large events like the Mid-Autumn Festival. Against this grand backdrop, the College boasts modern state-of-the-art facilities, like the Science Research Centre and much more.
Students usually assemble here for flag-raising every morning.
This is also where key school events such as Post Orientation Performance, Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese New Year Celebrations are held.
The inner plaza is right next to the Central Plaza and has several special features. This includes: Printing Shop, Council Room, The Common Room (a recreational room for students), Green Council Room and benches (for students to gather and chill).

The Lecture Theatres are venues used for mass briefings and lectures. These venues are properly equipped with tables and chairs which allow the Tutors to efficiently deliver lesson content. Of course, no eating and drinking is allowed in the Lecture Theatres, so do remember to leave your food outside or finish it before entering!
The Jing Xian Library is a popular spot for students to study, read, or unwind, thanks to its welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, made possible by the dedication of the librarian and the Library Club CCA!
We have specialised labs for each of the Science subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics. These labs have the necessary equipment to hold practicals for students to hone their skills in these subjects.
Our school canteen has a wide variety of cuisines (Japanese, Western, Chinese, Malay) for students to choose from.
This is where physical education lessons, CCA trainings and JC1 Orientation activities take place.
The Cafe sells snacks and drinks, and complements the wide variety of cuisines the canteen has. Students are also commonly seen studying outside the cafe.

The Common Room, managed by the Students' Council, serves as a space for workshops and collaborative activities. But beyond that, it’s also a welcoming spot where students can relax and enjoy a casual, friendly environment.
The Auditorium is where level assemblies and mass lectures for subjects with a larger candidature take place. Level assemblies include segments such as appreciation of the arts and Principal Dialogues which are student hosted panel discussions where school policies or global issues are highlighted and examined.
The Hwa Chong Clock Tower is a gazetted national monument. It is a majestic icon along Bukit Timah Road that signifies Hwa Chong's rich 105-year old heritage.
The Kong Chian Administration Centre, named after Dr Lee Kong Chian, is an office for the administrative staff and the principals. A statue of Dr Lee Kong Chian is situated right in front of the centre. Numerous important awards that Hwa Chong has won over the years are also showcased on the second floor of the Administration Centre.

Hwa Chong is the first institution in Singapore to build a Science Research Centre of its own. The Science Research Centre has a myriad of facilities. It houses 10 Laboratories used by students for their specialised research projects, a Theatrette and even Art Studios which are used by students in the Art Elective Programme.
