Introduction
Here at Hwa Chong English Drama, we are a small but passionate group of thespians who love everything about theatre. We do acting, directing, set design, prop making, light and sound design, writing, improvisation, and just about anything else related to the dramatic arts. It may get hectic during production season every year, but we have lots of fun and always pull through! Whether you're pretentious about Shakespeare or a nerd about musical theatre, there will be something we do that you will enjoy.

Annual Production:
Every year, we put on 2-3 plays to form a ~1h 30min showcase based on different themes. We do comedies, tragedies and everything in between!
Biennial SYF:
Every 2 years, we take part in the Singapore Youth Festival, where we put on a 15 min play.
Miscellaneous Performances:
Besides our flagship production, we sometimes perform in other school events depending on our members' interest.
Workshops and Enrichment:
Alongside our regular CCA sessions, we will sometimes have workshops held by different instructors on different art forms to improve our skills in that field. Our members often go to watch plays put on by different schools and theatre companies as well.

Requirements to join:
Passion for theatre, open-mindedness to different forms of drama, dedication to acting and a willingness to participate. Prior experience is appreciated but not required!
Timings of our CCA Sessions:
Odd Week
Wednesday: 3.30-6.30pm
Friday: 5-6.30pm
Even Week
Wednesday: 8am-12pm
Friday: 3.30-6.30pm
