Welcome to Choir  -  or as we say it backwards, rioHC!

At rioHC, we believe in nurturing teamwork, resilience and focus in our members, while providing a warm and supportive environment for all. During CCA, we learn music theory, strengthen our vocal technique, and explore a wide repertoire of songs from a variety of cultures, languages, and genres. 

Guided by our experienced resident conductor, Ms Lim Ai Hooi, and through the hard work devoted by our members, rioHC has consistently achieved excellence at both local and international platforms. 

We have attained consecutive Certificates of Distinction at the SYF Arts Presentation from 2013 to 2025, and consecutive Gold with Honours awards at the SYF Central Judging of Choirs from 2005 to 2011. Beyond Singapore, we have attained multiple gold medals and top prizes in prestigious international competitions, such as the 38th Festival of Songs in Olomouc, the 60th European Music Festival for Young People in Belgium, the 8th World Choir Games in Latvia, and the 39th Florilege Vocal de Tours in France. 

Yet, rioHC is more than a CCA — it is a family. Singing together brings joy, unforgettable memories and friendships that will enrich your JC life!

As part of our rioHC family, you can look forward to performing at school events such as Chinese New Year, National Day, Arts Fest, and in-house concerts, as well as at the Singapore Youth Festival! Beyond performances, you will also take part in annual exchanges with other JC choirs, interact with experienced adult choirs, and attend masterclasses and clinician workshops where you can learn from renowned conductors!
