Do you love Chinese music? Well, look no further because Hwa Chong Chinese Orchestra is just the place for you!
HCCO is a fun-loving CCA for students passionate about Chinese instrumental music. We uphold our tradition of excellence and adapt to changing times by exploring new genres while maintaining our Chinese instrumental heritage. We hope to pass down our love of music to every new batch of juniors.
HCCO holds performances within and outside of school! Since its founding, our orchestra has consistently achieved Distinction at the biennial Singapore Youth Festival. You will also be able to catch us on stage during school events such as the annual Open House, Chinese New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, and our biennial concert,《天籁回音》. These performances hone the musical calibre of our members while promoting an appreciation for Chinese music among the school and the greater community.
We strongly encourage experienced members to join, and are also open to members without musical backgrounds! Our friendly instructors will be present to ensure you get the most out of your experience here!

1400 - 1600: Guanyue & Percussion Sectionals
1600 - 1800: Combined
Thursdays:
1430 / 1500 - 1700: Xianyue & Tanbo Sectionals
1700 - 1845: Combined
[There may be additional sessions added on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays closer to competitions and events if needed!]
Requirements
Requirements
No prior experience is required, we welcome anyone who has the passion and interest for Chinese Orchestra.
Musical experience is valuable (whether Chinese or Classical), but do not worry even if you do not have any musical background! We have many students who started out fresh, and are progressing very well under the guidance of our national-level instructors!
