Library Club

The Library Club is dedicated to supporting the school by assisting in the management of our very own Jing Xian Library. Our goal is to create an enjoyable and enriching library experience for both students and staff through shelving and counter duties. During CCA sessions, we brainstorm and plan for upcoming events, then move on to the creative work, like publicising activities, as well as the administrative tasks that keep everything running smoothly. 

Additionally, we share book recommendations on our Instagram page (@hci_library_club) and occasionally collaborate with other CCAs, offering them a platform to showcase their expertise. We also conduct interviews with teachers about their favourite books and ask for any recommendations for avid readers.

Our flagship event, Library Week, is a week-long celebration featuring activities centered around a specific theme designed to engage students and encourage good reading habits. In 2025, we hosted a book giveaway, movie screening, and organised the first iteration of our Library Roundtable, with schools such as Eunoia JC participating in the event!

CCA Sessions

Wednesday, 3 - 5pm (Odd Week)

Friday , 3 - 5pm (Even Week)

 
1 hour of library duty to be completed per week (subjected to personal schedule)
